Monday Media: Book Foods

Image from “Foods From Children’s Books” slideshow

So, I will confess, I am a reader-eater. Specifically, I always find myself wanting to eat along with the characters in the book I’m reading. They’re sitting down to tea in my murder-mystery? I want tea. They’re sampling some exotic cuisine in my multicultural novel? I want to go try it. You get the idea.

Which is why I was tickled to find a slideshow from the Huffington Post that gives you recipes for iconic foods found in children’s books. From Butterbeer (Harry Potter) to gruel (Oliver Twist), this list is a reader-eater’s (Turkish) delight.

Bon appétit!
